About

I’m Cynthia, a design engineer and romantist.

I design and build websites, and occasionally makes printed matter. Much of this work is for people learning, gathering, or collaborating.

Like most other designers in the industry, I started on Tumblr, customizing my photography and BTS blogs.

As a teenager, I spent time learning about HTML and CSS. I then pirated Adobe Photoshop, and started creating my own BTS fan art. My parents didn't approve of me being a Kpop fan, but I like to think it got me to where I am today. Sometimes, pining after a boy band is the best thing that happens to you! Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Before becoming a designer, I was a software engineer. I worked as a full-stack developer in an agency, building tools for clients. I also spent some time in marketing for Art Vancouver, a contemporary art fair.

Since 2020, I’ve worked for a variety of clients, from startups to nonprofits. I’m interested in detailed, useful interfaces that still feel like someone is there.
